Brand-Aid: Why Is It Important to Have a Brand?

Now that we have determined the definition of a brand, the next step is to understanding why a brand is important.

To recap a brand is a marketing process used to establish and differentiate you from others in your industry. It is something recognizable that those around you can tie to you.

A brand is something that attracts your target demographic/consumer/market and gains their loyalty. By implementing a plan to develop a solid brand, you allow your market to develop a familiarity and love for your brand based on service, clarity, cohesiveness, consistency, quality, reputation and several other factors. Increase in brand loyalty is an increase in brand revenue and brand awareness.  Word of mouth is one of the oldest advertising methods. What people love and trust is what they talk about.....your goals should reflect the desire to increase awareness and loyalty. Thus it is important to develop a brand in order to increase your awareness, loyalty, following and brand positioning.
